Areas affected...Portions of OH and northern/central KY

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 27...

Valid 142302Z - 150030Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 27
continues.

SUMMARY...Mainly a damaging wind threat continues across southern
portions of Severe Thunderstorm Watch 27. Isolated large hail also
remains possible, and a tornado cannot be ruled out.

DISCUSSION...Broken line of supercells and small bowing clusters
continues across parts of northern/central KY into southwestern OH
at 23Z. This convection has produced strong to damaging winds and
several reports of 1.00-1.75 inch diameter hail over the past couple
of hours. The best short term severe threat appears to be confined
to mainly southern portions of WW 27 where slightly greater
low-level moisture and weak instability is present. Regardless,
50-65 kt of effective bulk shear will continue to organize updrafts,
and damaging winds will probably be the main threat into this
evening as storm interactions occur and convection potentially grows
upscale into a broken line. A brief tornado cannot be completely
ruled out, especially across northern KY where thunderstorms are a
bit more discrete and effective SRH is maximized.
