Areas affected...northeast LA and west-central MS

Concerning...Tornado Watch 154...155...

Valid 090002Z - 090100Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 154, 155 continues.

SUMMARY...A corridor of intense winds and tornado potential will
extend across northeast LA into northeast LA and west-central MS the
next 1-2 hours.

DISCUSSION...An intense bowing segment will continue to quickly
shift east/northeast at around 40kt across the MCD region. 30-40 kt
of southerly low level flow ahead of the bow, and a strong westerly
descending rear inflow jet on the back side of the bow should
support a continued corridor of intense wind and tornado potential
the next couple of hours across northeast LA into west-central MS.
The bow should gradually weaken with eastward extent as deep layer
shear weakens toward central MS and inhibition increases with loss
of daytime heating. However, this could take a few hours given
current momentum with the system and at least weak instability and a
moist boundary layer downstream.
