Areas affected...southern Georgia...northern Florida...and eastern
South Carolina

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 164...

Valid 121904Z - 122000Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 164
continues.

SUMMARY...Local severe risk -- mainly in the form of gusty/damaging
winds -- continues across Watch 164.

DISCUSSION...latest radar loop shows the main, bowing band of storms
weakening/decreasing in organization, while more isolated storms
ahead of the band increase in coverage. Overall, the decrease in
organization within the band is yielding an overall decrease in
severe potential across the region.

With that said, with 40 to 45 kt west-southwest mid-tropospheric
flow still observed per area WSR-88D VWPs, and an amply
moist/unstable airmass across the watch, risk for a few stronger
storms capable of producing locally gusty winds will continue this
afternoon.
