Areas affected...Parts of northwest Texas through western and
central Oklahoma

Concerning...Tornado Watch 211...

Valid 230056Z - 230230Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 211 continues.

SUMMARY...A conditional severe weather risk continues, but probably
will diminish further through 9-10 PM CDT.

DISCUSSION...The most substantive recent thunderstorm development,
including a supercell near Wichita Falls, has remained focused
near/west of Interstate-44, in relatively close proximity to the
dryline, perhaps aided by weak low-level warm advection. With the
onset of boundary layer cooling, it seems probable that the
supercell near Wichita Falls may begin to weaken within the next
hour or two. And potential for convection to the north/northeast
(into areas west of Oklahoma City) to root in the unstable boundary
layer appear to be diminishing.
