Areas affected...portions of the TX Panhandle

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 354...

Valid 140449Z - 140545Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 354
continues.

SUMMARY...Isolated strong gusts may continue another couple of
hours, but severe threat appears to gradually be diminishing across
the TX Panhandle.

DISCUSSION...Gusty winds will likely continue another couple of
hours across parts of the TX Panhandle and perhaps into far western
OK. Overall radar trends have shown a gradual weakening trend over
the past hour or so and cloud tops have warmed some on IR satellite
imagery. Nevertheless, a few strong wind gusts have been measured in
the last 1-2 hours, ranging from around 40-55 mph, with generally
weaker gusts most recently. Given radar trends and observed wind
gusts, a downstream watch is not expected.
