Areas affected...western and central Kansas...northwest Oklahoma and
the Panhandles

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 355...

Valid 142251Z - 150045Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 355
continues.

SUMMARY...Storms will continue to increase in intensity and
coverage, with damaging wind and hail possible. Areas downstream of
WW 355 will likely need a watch later this evening.

DISCUSSION...Storms continue to organize across eastern CO and
western KS near the surface trough, with increasing echo tops and
hail cores noted on radar. Existing storms will soon be interacting
with a very unstable air mass to the east, supporting possible
upscale growth into an MCS. While minor capping exists, increasing
cold pools should overcome this negative factor. Large hail is most
likely over the next couple hours with an increasing threat of
damaging winds as storms propagate east/southeast across KS and into
OK.
